Elissa Lee finds her roots in the heart of Texas as well as her teenage years on the island of Taiwan. Her experiences on two sides of the world have taught her the significance of dance not only as a form of entertainment but a means of communication and reconciliation, bringing people together through movement.

A senior at UC Berkeley, she studies psychology, dance, human rights, and disability studies, and hopes to pursue occupational therapy in the future. As artistic director of Dance the Bay, she is passionate about the performing arts and hopes to foster the same passion for dance to the Bay Area younglings and community. Aside from dancing ballet, swing, hip-hop and modern, you will find her reading/writing, singing in the shower, eating, making soup, stretching, people-watching, and/or making listicles.
